Dakota Pipeline

The dakota pipeline issue still continues as the U.S. judge denies request to stop the construction. The Standing Rock Sioux and Cheyenne River Sioux tribes have filed a lawsuit against the pipeline, explaining how it endangers their drinking water and how it'll damage sacred burial sites. If the pipeline does go through it'll be able to transport over 470,000 barrels of oil in a day. The Energy Transfer Partners have already finished most of the pipeline and beginning to work on the last part since the army gave permission to continue.Construction on the pipeline had stalled formonths due to opposition from protesters. Thousands of predominantly Native American protesters have gone against the pipeline's construction and set up camps along the final stretch of what is left to finish building. Many people Native Americans will keep no matter what the cost is in order to save their land and water.
